About The Position
As a Security Officer - Healthcare Unarmed Patrols in Laguna Hills, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
- Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as required.
- Follow post orders and directives specific to the healthcare location, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Assist with access control, visitor management, and monitoring of entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Document all activities, incidents, and observations in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
