About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Sentinel in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, including in areas supporting vaccine operations. Requirements

  • This is a hospital site where vaccines are required.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with clinical staff, and requesting law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access points; document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual activity per site procedures.
  • Support access control and visitor management by checking credentials, directing foot traffic, and helping maintain patient privacy and confidentiality expectations.
