About The Position

As a Security Officer - Bicycle Patrol in LOS GATOS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through strong communication and customer service, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding and de-escalation when needed, and help to deter unauthorized entry and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as appropriate.
  • Complete required reports, document observations and incidents, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
