About The Position
As a Security Officer - Unarmed - Healthcare Site in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and professional customer service while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements
- Applicants must have 1+ years law enforcement experience or 2+ years security supervisor or manager experience or 3+ years security experience.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response guidance for a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and/or calls for assistance; notify appropriate contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, watching for unusual activity and conditions that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
- Monitor entry points, check credentials as required, manage visitor logs and/or badges per site policy, and support patient privacy by limiting access to restricted areas.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and follow-up actions in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or site representatives.
