Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and/or contractors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and incident reporting practices.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, lobbies, administrative areas, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, badge checkpoints, and visitor processes; verify authorization, issue visitor credentials when required, and direct individuals to appropriate locations within the facility.
  • Respond to alarms, disturbances, medical facility incidents, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; request assistance from site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete timely, accurate documentation of patrols, access activity, and incidents using required logs and/or reporting systems; communicate updates to supervisors and oncoming officers.
