As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badge checks as needed, document observations, and provide clear, courteous communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, utility infrastructure areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, badges, and/or visitor authorization, directing deliveries and contractors according to site procedures.
  • Document patrol activities, observations, and incidents in daily logs and reports, communicating relevant information to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
