As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to maintain a secure environment through access control and monitoring of entry points. Your role involves providing outstanding customer service, supporting security-related protocols, and assisting with incident response, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, suspicious activity, or unauthorized persons, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with the implementation of security-related measures to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior at the location.
