As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as well as on foot, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and caring. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $24.21 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
A New York State Security Guard License is required.
At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
Assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
Collaborate with healthcare personnel and local authorities as necessary during incidents and/or emergencies.
