Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 1+ years of law enforcement experience OR 2+ years of security supervisor or manager experience OR 3+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, coordination with clinical staff, and timely notification of site leadership and/or local responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify unusual conditions, and report concerns.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization, enforcing visiting and after-hours guidelines, and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete detailed reports, log entries, and incident documentation, including observations related to property, equipment, and policy compliance, while maintaining respect for privacy and confidentiality expectations in a healthcare setting.
