Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Center Patrol in Abilene, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with outstanding customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and contacting medical staff and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring doors, visitor check-in processes, and restricted areas, verifying credentials and directing individuals to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete reports and logs for patrols, incidents, and unusual activities, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and/or site leadership.
