As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and/or coordination with emergency personnel as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry, ensuring that only authorized individuals are present in restricted areas.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or hazards according to Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
- Assist with wayfinding and provide information or directions to staff, patients, and visitors as needed.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and local authorities as required to support a secure environment within the healthcare location.
