As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols support a positive atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as security-related breaches, property damage, or suspicious activity, in accordance with site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and helping to maintain authorized entry to designated areas.
  • Collaborate with facility staff and first responders as needed to support security-related and emergency response efforts.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site management.
