As a Front Desk Security Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for patients, families, and staff, providing a welcoming presence while supporting security-related operations. Responsibilities include monitoring the entry area, managing visitor check-in, verifying credentials, responding to calls for assistance, and communicating clearly with the care team. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Staff the front desk post, greet and direct visitors, and assist with wayfinding while maintaining a professional, service-focused presence.
  • Manage access control by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or appointments as required, issuing visitor badges when applicable, and coordinating with clinic personnel for approvals.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and communications systems, and promptly report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, completing required notifications and writing detailed incident reports before the end of shift.
