As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location supporting vaccine services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and support a caring culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, team focused, and guided by integrity. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.02 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM

Requirements

  • Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid training is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and/or disorderly conduct.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, directing visitors according to site policy, and managing restricted-area access.
  • Complete required security-related documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and activity reports, and communicate key information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
