As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government healthcare location supporting vaccine services, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and support a caring culture that is agile, reliable, innovative, team focused, and guided by integrity.

Requirements

Vaccines are required for hospital sites.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid training is preferred and may be completed post hire.
CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site staff, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and/or disorderly conduct.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Support access control by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or credentials, directing visitors according to site policy, and managing restricted-area access.
Complete required security-related documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and activity reports, and communicate key information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
