About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Facility Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Your role supports a caring environment where teamwork and integrity are valued, making a meaningful impact as you help to maintain a secure atmosphere for all.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within a healthcare environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible presence.
Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
Collaborate with site staff and first responders during emergency situations to support established protocols.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities encountered while on patrol.
