As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Your role includes interacting with patients, visitors, and staff, providing excellent customer service, and responding to security-related situations. This is a driving post, where your commitment to teamwork and integrity will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential hazards.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and unusual circumstances according to site procedures.
Assist with access control, visitor management, and adherence to location policies.
Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership, maintaining communication with appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.
