As a Screener in a government healthcare location, you will greet visitors, conduct entry screening procedures, monitor assigned areas, and complete routine patrols to help maintain order and help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and the public, provide customer-focused assistance, and document activities with attention to detail. Requirements

  • Hospital: Vaccines is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures and Allied Universal post orders at a government location.
  • Screen individuals entering the facility using designated screening methods such as walk-through magnetometers, hand wands, and/or bag inspections, and communicate screening instructions in a respectful manner.
  • Verify identification, appointments and/or authorization as required, issue visitor passes when applicable, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including escalating concerns to site leadership, law enforcement, and/or emergency services as required.
  • Document screening activity and security-related incidents accurately in logs and reports, and report hazards, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior to the appropriate personnel.
