As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to dispatch security-related personnel and resources as needed within the healthcare location.
  • Receive and prioritize incoming calls, requests, and incidents, relaying information promptly to appropriate security-related staff.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all communication, incidents, and dispatch activities according to site-specific policies.
  • Assist with coordinating emergency response activities and provide updates to management and/or emergency personnel as required.
  • Provide customer service by communicating clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or patients regarding security-related matters.
  • Support regular and random patrols by maintaining communication with field personnel and tracking their status throughout the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, facilitating prompt and appropriate action.
  • Follow all security procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal and the healthcare location.
