About The Position

As a Security Officer Harbor Patrol TWIC in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
A guard card/license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for employees, visitors, and/or deliveries in alignment with site procedures and restricted area requirements.
Document observations, incidents, and/or maintenance or access issues, and communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters.
