Security Officer - Grounds Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Grounds Patrol in Wilson, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol key areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, use a computer or tablet for reports, and provide customer-focused communication with employees and visitors. Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or irregular conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify identification, visitor authorization, and/or delivery paperwork in accordance with site procedures; direct visitors to the appropriate areas as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when required by post orders.
- Document patrols, observations, incidents, and security-related activities in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems, and report maintenance or operational concerns through the designated channels.
