About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Team Member in STATEN ISLAND, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining strong communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required as proof by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following company and location protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related risks, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
  • Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to support security-related operations.
