About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a government transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service with calm, professional communication. You will document activity, assist staff and riders with directions and concerns, and contribute to a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity and a people-first culture.

Requirements

An armed guard card and/or license is required.
Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government facility by following site-specific, security-related procedures, access control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Perform armed patrol duties throughout buildings, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter prohibited activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or local public partners as needed.
Monitor cameras, radios, and other communications systems, dispatching information and requesting assistance when appropriate.
Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation, and follow Allied Universal and site post orders related to use of force, equipment handling, and chain of command.
