About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and your team. Requirements

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies at a government location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity; verify credentials and/or direct visitors according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate parties and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
