About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrol in Sanford, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and your team. Requirements

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to site staff and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, post orders, and site-specific policies at a government location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity; verify credentials and/or direct visitors according to site procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate parties and documenting actions taken.
Complete required reports and logs, document security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
