Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driver in Suffolk, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling via vehicle as you maintain a visible presence and assist with any security-related needs. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while on duty.
Document all incidents and/or irregularities according to company and client protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical incidents.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unwanted activity.
