About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. In this primarily driving role, you will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
  • Document and report any unusual observations or incidents according to site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or the public, providing guidance and information as required.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities when necessary to address site-specific concerns.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related concerns throughout the shift.
