About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Driver in Rockford, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a government location. In this primarily driving role, you will interact with the public, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government locations.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Document and report any unusual observations or incidents according to site procedures.
Communicate professionally with visitors, employees, and/or the public, providing guidance and information as required.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities when necessary to address site-specific concerns.
Maintain awareness of surroundings and remain alert to potential security-related concerns throughout the shift.
