About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol Driver in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with visitors and staff. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the government location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
  • Document observations and report incidents according to established protocols.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or the public as needed while on patrol.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas and monitor entry and exit points.
  • Remain alert to potential security-related hazards or suspicious activities during patrols and report them promptly.
