About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol in Ridgeland, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Observe and report any irregularities, such as security breaches, property damage, or suspicious activity, to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide a sense of security-related support to occupants and visitors.
Complete required reports and logs accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal and the site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed in accordance with site protocols.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines to help to maintain a secure environment tailored to the needs of a government facility.
