About The Position

As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol in Peoria, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report on any irregularities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public as required by the location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist in controlling access to the location, verifying identification, and monitoring the flow of individuals as needed.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and promptly report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities.
