As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a government location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a positive experience for everyone on-site. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while assisting with access control and responding to situations as they arise. Requirements

At least six months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or security-related license is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, residents, and visitors to provide guidance and support as needed.
Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures relevant to the assignment and location requirements.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points as directed.
Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
