Job Description As a Security Officer - Government Facility Patrol - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, responding to situations as they arise, and maintaining open communication with the public. Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or unusual occurrences as required.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to those at the location.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out all assigned duties.
- Follow instructions from Allied Universal management and site supervisors regarding security-related tasks and procedures.
