As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. Requirements

Have at least 3 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor entrances, exits, and/or designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Follow all instructions regarding the handling and use of firearms in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
