As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a residential location, you will help manage access control, greet residents and guests, and verify credentials while keeping a professional, service-focused presence. You will conduct routine patrols and monitor assigned areas to help reduce security-related incidents, communicate clearly with residents and staff, and document activity with accuracy. Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, staff, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Control access at entrances by verifying identification and/or resident authorization, managing visitor check-in and check-out, and directing guests to appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems; document unusual activity and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, disturbances, and/or fire and life event notifications per site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
