About The Position

As a Security Officer Gatehouse Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Monitor gates, entrances, and restricted areas to help manage the flow of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other conditions that may require follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, vehicle entries, and incident documentation while using professional communication to support daily operations and customer needs.
