About The Position

As a Security Officer Gatehouse Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a transportation location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help support a professional, welcoming experience for visitors and staff. Requirements

Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, employees, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, screening entry requests, and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
Monitor gates, entrances, and restricted areas to help manage the flow of pedestrian and vehicle traffic, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or first responders as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other conditions that may require follow-up.
Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, vehicle entries, and incident documentation while using professional communication to support daily operations and customer needs.
