As an Allied Universal Officer supporting access control at a tech and telecom location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage entry points, and monitor activity to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will communicate clearly, provide customer-focused assistance, and complete detailed reports while partnering with site teams to keep operations running smoothly. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license in the job state.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing guests and vendors to the appropriate locations.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems for unusual activity, and report security-related concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting events and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including doors, gates, loading areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized access and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
