As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage production and tasting location, you will help manage access control by greeting visitors, checking credentials, issuing badges, and guiding deliveries and contractors to approved areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Bring a customer-service mindset and be ready for a limited on-site facilities setting.

Requirements

• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and distribution location.
• Staff an access control post by verifying identification and site authorization, managing visitor sign-in and sign-out, issuing temporary badges when authorized, and/or coordinating access with site contacts.
• Monitor entry and exit points, gates, and delivery areas to help to deter unauthorized access, and document access activity in logs and/or electronic systems according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, policy violations, and/or unusual activity through the proper chain of communication.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, production areas, and perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
