About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Patrol Rounds in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for staff and visitors. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and respond to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be 21+ years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Respond to alarms, unusual activity, disturbances and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, perimeter and parking areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and lobby traffic, verify visitor identity as required, assist with directions, and report suspicious behavior and/or security-related concerns.
• Complete routine documentation such as activity logs, patrol reports and incident reports, and preserve observations and details for follow-up when needed.
