Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access points, greet tenants and visitors, document activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a commercial real estate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, loading and service areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns per post orders.
• Monitor access points and observe for unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations, helping to deter issues through presence and timely reporting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, contacting site management and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
• Complete shift reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant updates during post handoff, and use required systems for patrol verification and reporting as directed by Allied Universal and site procedures.
