Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as directed.
  • Control access to the location by verifying identification and/or authorization, directing visitors to the proper check-in process, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service requests in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly notify site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoff notes using written and/or digital systems, and communicate observations to site contacts in a timely manner.
