About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Entrance Screener in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener at a busy healthcare location, you will welcome patients, visitors, and staff while supporting access control and security-related screening at key entry points. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly, and help identify potential concerns early, partnering with clinical teams and fellow officers to support smooth operations. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at hospital entry points by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control steps, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen patients, visitors, vendors, and staff for approved entry requirements, issue visitor credentials as directed, and direct individuals to the appropriate check-in or care areas.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying clinical staff and/or leadership and documenting actions taken.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and other assigned locations for unusual activity that could lead to security-related concerns, and report observations according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, as required by post orders.
