Job Description As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a leading tech location, you will greet employees and visitors, manage access control and visitor check-in, and respond to security-related concerns with calm, professional communication. You will use a computer and/or tablet to document activity, coordinate with site teams, and support a welcoming lobby experience. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet and screen visitors, manage sign-in and badge issuance, and direct guests to the appropriate contacts within a tech office location.
  • Monitor lobby activity and access control points, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report suspicious activity per site-specific escalation guidelines.
  • Answer phones and respond to requests for assistance, handling incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with on-site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain accurate front desk logs and reports, document incidents and service requests, and communicate updates to the supervisor and/or client representatives.
