About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Bethel, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at the location, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and exceptional customer service. You will assist visitors, manage access, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
  • Monitor access and visitor management at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal management, providing information and assistance as needed.
  • Assist with emergency response activities and support the implementation of site-specific protocols during critical situations.
