About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Bethel, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at the location, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and exceptional customer service. You will assist visitors, manage access, and communicate clearly with staff and guests. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal protocols.
Monitor access and visitor management at the front desk, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site policies.
Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal management, providing information and assistance as needed.
Assist with emergency response activities and support the implementation of site-specific protocols during critical situations.
