About The Position

As a Security Officer - Front Desk in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Front Desk Officer in a busy transportation location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear, professional communication. You will support a smooth, organized lobby experience while partnering with site teams to help identify and address concerns. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement/military/security experience OR a college degree.
  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Have a Corrections Officer License.
  • Be comfortable using computer or tablet - preferred.
  • Have customer service experience - preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a transportation facility front desk by following Allied Universal procedures and site-specific policies and/or post orders.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining sign-in and sign-out logs, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from the front desk and report irregular activity per escalation guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site management and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and pass-down notes while maintaining a professional front desk presence.
