About The Position
As a Security Officer - Front Desk Receptionist in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will be the first point of contact at the location, providing a welcoming presence and delivering exceptional customer service. You will monitor entry points, assist visitors, and respond to security-related concerns. Requirements
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
- Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the premises.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records of visitor and contractor logs, and report any unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with communications and information dissemination to staff, visitors, and/or students as needed.
- Support Allied Universal in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or activities at the location through professional presence and adherence to protocols.
