Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Front Desk Officer at an education location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting access control and visitor processing. You will monitor entry activity, manage badges and/or sign in procedures, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $18.95 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Have customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, students, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and customer service standards at the front desk.
  • Control access at the main entry by greeting visitors, confirming identification and/or authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests to the appropriate destination.
  • Monitor lobby activity, cameras, alarms, and communication channels, reporting unusual conditions and/or maintenance concerns through the proper chain of communication.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or local responders as directed.
  • Complete required logs and reports such as visitor entries, incident documentation, and shift activity notes, and communicate key updates during shift turnover.
