As a Front Desk Officer at a utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for employees, contractors, and visitors, helping manage access, answer questions, and support security-related screening and badge processes. You will monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and employees at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Control access by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges and/or visitor passes, directing authorized personnel, and maintaining visitor, contractor, and delivery logs.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and other facility systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, service issues, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as directed.
- Support administrative tasks related to the post such as answering phones, routing calls, receiving packages, coordinating keys and/or access cards, and completing required reports and shift handoffs.
