As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech, media, and/or telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with teams and visitors, and provide strong customer service while using computer and/or tablet tools as needed. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 6+ months of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including receiving reports, assessing conditions, and communicating updates to appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior areas for unusual conditions, report maintenance or security-related concerns, and document observations using required logs and/or reporting systems.
  • Support security-related screening and visitor management as directed, including verifying authorization, issuing credentials, and guiding guests to appropriate destinations.
