As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine foot and driving patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor needs. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and provide customer-focused service while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative. You will bring a caring, people-first approach and act with integrity on every shift.

Requirements

• A minimum of 1+ years of security experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, common spaces, and building perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, verifying authorized entry, directing visitors, and assisting with badge and/or visitor management processes as required by site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete routine reports, activity logs, and incident documentation, and participate in shift turnover briefings to support consistent post operations.
