As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist team members and visitors with clear communication, and document observations using computer and/or tablet tools. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services, and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
• Monitor access points for employees, visitors, and vendors, including verifying authorization, supporting badge and/or sign-in processes, and directing deliveries to the appropriate staging areas.
• Observe alarms, CCTV, and radios as assigned, communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts, and document patrols, incidents, and corrective actions per post orders.
