As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances and key areas, verify credentials, manage visitor check-in, and conduct routine patrols to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate clearly with staff and patients, and respond with professionalism during high-pressure moments. Requirements

• Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
• The ability to restrain individuals is required for this hospital site.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control entry and exit points by checking identification, issuing and collecting visitor credentials, maintaining access logs, and directing authorized individuals to the appropriate location.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, and other access control systems, and report suspicious or unusual activity to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision to help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating notifications to clinical staff and/or local authorities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter spaces as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
